The voters have spoken. And they have chosen Will Brick as The Daily Memphian spring-sports athlete of the week.
Brick, a Mississippi State baseball signee, showed why he may also hear his name called early in this year’s MLB Draft as he led CBHS to a pair of wins. He was a combined 4 for 4 with a homer, a double and four RBI as the Brothers beat Jackson Christian, 10-0, and Caledonia (Mississippi), 6-4.
Brick earned 61% of the vote to outpace Collierville’s Khari Webb, who ran a state-best time of 56.36 to win the 400 meters at the Mid-South Relays.
