After more than 40 years, Collierville thinks it is time to update its beer ordinance, eliminating — among other things — the restriction on proximity to churches.

Collierville’s beer ordinance was adopted in the ’80s. For the first time in 40 years, microbreweries could be allowed.
The beer rules Collierville has used since 1983 are “so antiquated and so outdated and so not fair,” Alderman Nick Robbins said.
