Playhouse on the Square announced its 2025-26 season at an event at the theater Monday, March 3.
The 57th season includes both fan favorites and regional premieres.
“I’m very proud of the fact that Playhouse on the Square has the freedom to choose the shows we do,” Playhouse Executive Director Michael Detroit said. “We do not shy away from anything. Our desire to reflect our community through discussions about family, race politics, gender, sexuality and more speaks to another facet of our mission to produce a challenging and diverse repertory that speaks to the intelligence the soul and the imagination of our Memphis community, and that is what we will continue to do.”
