Greater Memphis Chamber recruits veterans for manufacturing roles
The Greater Memphis Chamber is recruiting veterans for jobs through its Blue Carpet Fly-In. Working with NextOp, it flies transitioning military service members and recent veterans into Memphis to tour facilities and interview with hiring managers. As manufacturers nationwide work to fill workforce gaps, veterans could play a role in meeting hiring needs.
Local manufacturers posted an average of 828 jobs per month from June 2025 to this May, according to Lightcast, a company which tracks online job boards and employer career sites.
The Greater Memphis Chamber has made it part of its growth strategy outlined in their strategic plan, Prosper Memphis 2030.
