The battle for The Station isn’t quite over, despite the liquor store being open for months

For those who have been buying wine, liquor and beer from the high-end liquor store The Station during the past five months, it may seem that the controversy over the East Memphis store has been resolved.
Not quite.
Despite the fact that The Station fully opened on Feb. 17, 2026, at 870 S. White Station Road, a coalition of three nearby liquor stores led by Buster’s Liquors & Wines co-owner Josh Hammond, whose East Memphis store is less than 2 miles from The Station, is still trying to shut down the newcomer.
