UTHSC raises about $11M for new College of Medicine building

University of Tennessee Health Science Center officials have raised more than $11 million out of $50 million for its new College of Medicine interdisciplinary building. 

The news comes about six weeks after UTHSC officials announced they had received $311 million in state funding for the project.

The money includes a $5 million corporate gift and some individual donors up to $2 million. Officials declined to say who those were.
