The Community Redevelopment Agency has landed a grant to remediate the former Chism Trail grocery site across from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, clearing an early hurdle for the proposed Manassas Market mixed-use development.
The Environmental Protection Agency awarded a $765,000 Brownfields Cleanup Grant to the CRA, which is a joint agency of Shelby County and the City of Memphis that focuses on removing blight and providing affordable housing.
