Memphis professor gets $125K contract to help with MATA’s ‘chicken-and-egg problem’

Sabya Mishra has spent years studying public transportation systems in cities nationwide.
Following a $124,929 research award and contract from Memphis Area Transit Authority, Memphis has been added to that list.
Mishra, professor of civil engineering and director of the Center for Transportation Innovations in Education and Research at the University of Memphis, said the main goal of the research is to look at “transit asset management.”
