Judges deny state’s request to throw out Chattanooga’s lawsuit over airport board takeover

A three-judge panel on Monday, Sept. 28, denied the state’s request to pause Chattanooga’s Metro Airport Authority’s lawsuit over the state takeover of its board.
Chancellor Jeffrey M. Atherton, Chancellor Michael Mansfield and Judge Joseph A. Woodruff handed down the ruling, saying they did so because Chattanooga’s federal lawsuit is still moving forward, according to reports from the Tennessee Journal.
