It’s not often that university administrators use sledgehammers during their jobs.

But on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics, several of them and other partners took swings at a drywall in a lobby — marking the start of a $90 million project to modernize the business school’s facilities.

“Raise your hand if you’ve ever been to a sledgehammer party,” said Tara Jones, senior vice president for university advancement.
