Daily Jigsaw: Bartlett wins!
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Back in September, the Bartlett High boys basketball team had a day on its track that caused D.J. Okoth to sigh and shake his head six months later.
“It was a very rough,” said the sophomore Mr. Basketball winner. “We were going around the track with medicine balls. Twenty-pound medicine balls. Holding them like a baby ... (but) we got through it.”
On Saturday, Okoth and his teammates got to hold something almost as meaningful as a newborn. The gold ball.
