Visitors entering the expanded Legacy Building at the National Civil Rights Museum are greeted by a series of displays on the left. 

A bright blue wall beckons them to walk back. At its center is a larger-than-life-sized triptych commissioned by the museum.

Its artist, Derek Fordjour, considers “Three Kings: Epilogue,” which metaphorically reimagines Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel and Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. within it, an “absolute honor.”
