Old police HQ building considered for Juvenile Court move
Mayor Lee Harris and his administration as well as Judge Tarik Sugarmon have talked about building a new Juvenile Court facility to replace the existing one at 616 Adams Ave. and took the discussion to county commissioners Monday, July 27. (The Daily Memphian file)
Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris is considering a rehab of the old Memphis Police Department headquarters building as a new home for Memphis-Shelby County Juvenile Court. But Juvenile Court Judge Tarik Sugarmon isn’t a fan of the idea.
