Tennessee lawmakers pass one-time transfer rule bill for TSSAA athletes
Middle and high school athletes in Tennessee should soon be allowed to transfer schools once without losing eligibility, regardless of the reason for transferring.
The Tennessee General Assembly passed Senate Bill 16 on Monday, Feb. 9, to the pleasure of its sponsor, Sen. Adam Lowe, R-Calhoun.
With passage in both chambers, the bill heads to Gov. Bill Lee to sign before becoming law July 1.
