The Tennessee Democratic Party’s executive committee is poised to name its nominee later this month for another open seat in the state’s Shelby County legislative delegation.
Veteran state house Democrat Joe Towns Jr. won the Aug. 6 county general election race for Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk and was sworn in Aug. 31.
