My Sistah’s House to begin construction on its first mixed-use development

A nonprofit offering housing for the LGBTQ+ community expects to begin construction next month on its first mixed-use development in South Memphis.
For the past year, My Sistah’s House’s team has filed and refiled plans to build a 2,400-square-foot commercial and residential building at 1532 Pillow St. as part of the nonprofit’s Tiny House Project.
Now, Kayla Gore, executive director of My Sistah’s House, is optimistic the development will be ready early next year.
