Munford’s Dequavion Bell was recognized for outstanding play in a 46-6 win over rival Millington.

CBHS scoring points at a historic pace to open the 2025 season. Lausanne, meanwhile, hopes to avoid its first 0-2 start ever.

CBHS and MUS cracked the rankings for the first time in 2025, while Melrose re-entered. 

Teams from Missouri and North Dakota won the team titles at the City Auto Memphis Twilight XC Classic, but the Collierville girls and Houston boys were runners-up.

Standouts from Covington, DeSoto Central, Kingsbury, Munford, St. George’s and Whitehaven are up for consideration this week. Voting ends a 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4.
