Week 11 high school football preview: Playoff berths at stake

The ECS senior threw six touchdown passes in a 40-0 win, a school-record performance against St. George’s.

Collierville, Houston, University, Lausanne and Westminster won region cross country championships.

Covington and Collierville, both undefeated, finish at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the final rankings of the season.

Several region titles — and the No. 1 seed that goes with them — are on the line Thursday and Friday.

This means the Mustangs will drop into a tie for third in the region heading into Week 11.

Since Houston won the heated rivalry with Collierville last year, the trophy is sitting in its field house. Whether they keep it will depend on Friday night’s result.
