The city began developing a new comprehensive plan 14 months ago, and multiple public engagement workshops have taken place to gauge what the community wants to see in the future.

“People are wanting a real sense of place,” said Bob Barber of Orion Planning and Design, sharing some early planning concepts to bring community engagement to the suburb.

The Olive Branch Airport has been awarded $499,082 by the Mississippi Transportation Commission to rehabilitate the airport’s south apron, officials announced Thursday, July 13.

“To see a guy in the peak of his career be taken out like that is so tragic,” said Dr. Dan Fletcher, one of nine orthopedic hand surgeons in the city and a longtime colleague to Dr. Ben Mauck.

The Bartlett Board of Mayor and Aldermen will vote Tuesday, Aug. 22, to decide who will fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term, which runs until the end of 2024.

A 29-year-old has been charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault in relation to Tuesday’s fatal shooting at Campbell Clinic.

The Bartlett Municipal Planning Commission recommended a special use permit for a new Glide Xpress Car Wash at 5905 Stage Road.

Monday’s event marked the first community meeting about the plan since the city officially kickstarted the process earlier this year.
