By , Daily Memphian Published: February 04, 2026 4:00 AM CT

Collierville could soon replace a former restaurant with a mixed-use building in the suburb’s historic district.

Preliminary plans to replace the former Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken building at 215 S. Center St. with 12 condos above retail and office space will go to the suburb’s Planning Commission on Thursday evening. David McLemore and Bart Thomas are proposing the four-story project, Center Street Lofts.

The development is south of the Collierville Town Square.
