Collierville High seniors will walk down memory lane, but their parents aren’t allowed to come

In a few weeks, Collierville High seniors will walk the halls of the district’s elementary schools they attended, but for the first time in almost a decade, their parents won’t witness the celebration.

The Parade of Dragons is a tradition for the suburban high school. The senior stroll, complete with the soon-to-be-graduates wearing their caps and gowns, brings back memories of their younger days, their ties to the previous campuses and an example for the younger students attending the schools.

But safety and security concerns have led to the parents not being able to enter the lower schools that were part of their senior’s educational journey.
