Collierville chief’s resignation followed years of complaints in fire department

Concerns about communication and pay disparities were the most common grievances directed at former Fire Chief John Selberg, but many were vague and most were anonymous.
Some complaints about the department arrived before Selberg was chief.
Selberg stepped down Aug. 20 after Molly Mehner , the town administrator placed him on leave 10 days earlier. She told the Board of Mayor and Aldermen it was due to insubordination.
