Bringing down the house parties: Why communities struggle to tame the commotion

Barry Sturghill of Collierville likes to return home from his pharmacy job and relax, but there have been nights as he was going to bed loud music outside his window kept him awake.

A house on Mayfield Road, across the street from Sturghill in The Lakes of Forest Hill, has been the site of multiple paid parties, he said. 

“It’s chaos,” he said.
