Sofia Mitchell, 27, scours the bookstore shelves, gently running her finger along the shelf as she reads the titles.
She is looking for her book club’s next read: “Klara and the Sun” by Kazuo Ishiguro.
“I usually go to the library, but they wouldn’t be able to get it in time for our meeting next month,” Mitchell said in the quiet aisles of Novel in Laurelwood Shopping Center.
