Apartments near Liberty Stadium could get new owners

The troubled Central Lofts apartment property near Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium could have new owners, as potential buyers are asking for the remaining residential tax abatement to be transferred to them.
Amin Zaki and Khalid Alwan, owners of Central Lofts LLC, have entered a “contingent purchase agreement” with the bank for the 127-unit apartment property, according to an Economic Development Growth Engine for Memphis and Shelby County application.
