As Belmont Grill prepares to close, regulars remember the good times

Belmont Grill will close Aug. 29, said Jeff Anderson, one of the restaurant’s owners.
For more than 40 years, Memphians have been visiting the Belmont Grill for its famous burgers — served on a French bread bun — and for the camaraderie of friends and neighbors.
Anderson has been at the helm for most of that time, having joined the restaurant as a bartender a year after it opened. He bought the business two years later in 1986 with a group of investors.
