Local Republicans got what is likely to be the closest thing to a debate between two of the three top Republicans running for Tennessee governor.

U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn and U.S Rep. John Rose each spoke separately Friday, Feb. 27, to a group of 400 attending the Shelby County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Gala at the FedEx Event Center at Shelby Farms Park.

Neither one mentioned the other by name.
