Southaven Police moving to new Silo Square precinct

Silo Square will soon add the Southaven Police Department to its ever-growing list of tenants following an agreement for the city to add more than $30,000 to the project.
The Southaven Board of Aldermen voted Tuesday, Sept. 17, to spend $31,894.85 worth of additional construction costs requested by the police department for the property at 6227 Silo Square Lane. The initial price tag was $1.5 million.
“Having a fully-functional precinct located in the eastern part of our city will tremendously improve the efficiency of our police operation throughout the entire city,” Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite said.
