Shifting gang alliances make policing more difficult

The federal case against Vincent Grant is just the latest to detail a complex hierarchy within Memphis street gangs that ties them to other gangs in the city and beyond.
“The (Unknown Vice Lords)/Ghost Mob employed a hierarchical and structured organization that bestowed upon its members certain titles indicative of the member’s role or function within the gang,” reads the February 2024 federal grand jury indictment of Vincent Grant and his codefendants, who are each currently awaiting trial.”
