On eve of trial, Eric Otten takes plea in Collierville killings

Eric Otten, the 54-year-old man accused of killing two people at a Collierville apartment complex in September 2023, pleaded guilty in the case Wednesday, Feb. 11, less than two weeks before he was scheduled to go to trial.
Otten, who lived in Olive Branch, entered the pleas in the killing of his estranged wife, Jenni Otten andMike Cross at the Meridian Park apartments. Cross was hospitalized initially and later died.
