Ask the Memphian: The lizards have invaded Memphis! But it’s not really a bad thing

Annie Hulett and her two daughters were sitting in their Midtown home one night when an unexpected guest crawled out of the fireplace.
They didn’t care much for the experience. At all.
“We were like, ‘Is that a lizard in our house?! What is even happening right now?!’ Me and the girls were by ourselves, and we were running around screaming,” said Hulett, chuckling a little bit at the memory. “It’s crawling around on our mantel. And we were freaking out, having no idea what we should do with it. And then it crawled back in, and we were like, ‘We hope it just goes away.’”
