On the road near Shelby Forest, there’s a home of two teachers who, in retirement, took a remarkable leap of faith.
Denton and Amy Pearson decided to live off the grid.
“We believe we’re stewards of this beautiful place,” 63-year-old Amy said as she nodded to the verdant woods that surround their home. “We’re just visitors here.”
