PHILADELPHIA β It started with a New Yearβs resolution.Β
You know, the thing most people gave up on nine months ago.
Casi Spear, a Philadelphian who spent 10 years of her life in Memphis, made a pledge to herself.Β
βThe goal was to make a wearable piece of clothing,β she said.Β
At first, she gave sewing a whirl. It was too challenging.Β
βSo then I said,Β βWhy donβt I try knitting?ββ Spear said.Β βLuckily, I caught onto that pretty quickly.β
So that is how, after knitting until her hands could have fallen off, Spear arrived at Saturday nightβs Memphis win in Philadelphia with a one-of-kind piece of Grizzlies merch.Β
