Grizzlies await vote by owners that could restrict future draft pick

Voting day is near for the NBA’s potential Draft Lottery rule changes, and criticism of the proposal from the league’s national media members continues to grow. 

In summation, the changes would implement a new “3-2-1” lottery system detailed here. It would reward teams that finish four through 10 from the bottom of the final regular-season standings, and it would punish teams that finish in the bottom three. 

The Memphis Grizzlies would be the only NBA team directly impacted by the rule next season.
