Banged-up Tigers open AAC women’s tournament Sunday vs. East Carolina

Injuries have been a major factor for Memphis women’s basketball all season and that will continue heading into the American Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Tigers (7-22, 5-13) will open the conference tournament as the No. 10 seed against No. 7 East Carolina (16-14, 8-10) at 6 p.m. Sunday on ESPN+.

Point guard DeeDee Hagemann is out with an injury and isn’t expected to play when Memphis tips off at Dickies Arena in Forth Worth, Texas.
