How Penny Hardaway convinced one of the nation’s top shooters to pick Memphis

Rihards Vavers is a 6-foot-7 sharpshooter who signed with the Memphis Tigers earlier this week. He shot 41% from 3-point range last season for Washington State and ranked in the Top 30 nationally in 3-point percentage.

On Thursday, Vavers spoke to The Daily Memphian about his decision and what he plans to bring to the Tigers next season.
