Tulsa at Memphis: What to know ahead of Tigers’ first home conference game
The University of Memphis Tigers will host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at 7 p.m. Saturday at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. (The Daily Memphian file)
The Memphis Tigers are one win away from entering their first bye week of the season with a perfect record.
Memphis (5-0, 1-0 American Conference) will play host to Tulsa (2-3, 0-2) on Saturday (7 p.m., ESPNU).
Both schools have wins over power conference teams, with Tulsa beating Oklahoma State for the first time since 1998. The Golden Hurricane, however, hasn’t had much success outside of that upset. Its season-opening win against Abilene Christian is the only other victory Tulsa has had this season.
