Getting a new Arlington Town Hall built will take longer than officials anticipated, but various departments need additional office and meeting space now.
So on Monday, Oct. 7, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a resolution for design of an addition to the current Town Hall at 5854 Airline Road. The project would double that building’s office space, taking it to more than 5,000 square feet.
“This is just a stopgap. It does not solve all our problems,” said town recorder/treasurer Brittney Owens, who is out of room to hire much-needed personnel.
