Bartlett plans major upgrades to sewer and water treatment systems

Bartlett wants to refurbish and enhance some of its aging infrastructure in hopes of spurring development through its existing industrial corridor.
On Tuesday, Sept. 23, the suburb’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a $3.7 million design contract for sewer system upgrades for the Fletcher Creek Sewer Basin area. The board also approved a $450,000 grant for improvements to the city’s A. G. Warner Water Treatment Plant at 5727 Woodlawn Street across from Bartlett High School.
