Lakeland mulls change in government

Lakeland will consider changing its form of government to a mayor and alderman arrangement, including the possibility of representation by district.

But on Thursday, March 19, some of the suburb’s commissioners weren’t convinced that the city is ready for such a change, which was presented by Commissioner Connie McCarter.
