Ford delays schedule for BlueOval City — again

Ford Motor Co. plans to push back full production of its new electric pickups at its BlueOval City from late 2027 to 2028.

Although full mass production is delayed, Ford spokesperson Jessica Enoch said the company is still on schedule to build prototypes for the new Project T3 in 2027.

The $5.6 billion BlueOval City campus is where Ford is manufacturing its new electric pickups and BlueOval SK batteries for the truck. BlueOval SK is joint venture between Ford and South Korea-based battery manufacturer SK On.
