Hardaway says the Tigers ‘gave one away’ against Tulane
Memphis Tigers Head Coach Penny Hardaway looks on against the Tulane Green Wave during the game at FedExForum on Feb. 1, 2026. (Wes Hale/Special to The Daily Memphian)

Effort has been a concern for Memphis (10-11, 5-4 American Conference) at times this season, but the fight was there for much of Sunday’s 78-76 defeat.
Much of the stat sheet suggests a Memphis victory.
