After Boise beatdown, Tigers made some changes to secure win over UT Martin
“But, to me, for us and our program, we need to know how many guys we have that can play winning football, right?” Memphis Tigers coach Charles Huff said. “Because at some point down the line, we’re going to need as many of these players to perform as possible, right?” (Wes Hale/Special to the Daily Memphian)
The Memphis Tigers entered the Sept. 19 home game against UT Martin as a 34.5-point favorite and left Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium with a 45-21 victory.
Starting quarterback Marcus Stokes didn’t play a single snap in the fourth quarter. Backup quarterback Air Noland and third-stringer Denzel Gardner split the fourth-quarter snaps.
